Hello. I live in New York State’s mid-Hudson Valley, where I served as Director of Policy Development with the late N.Y.S. Assemblyman Frank Skartados.

Under the Assemblyman, our office worked to help make public education racially and economically just, establish publicly-owned and -controlled banks and decisively end the wholly preventable public tragedy of the overdose crisis.

Unfortunately, while he made significant contributions toward these and other ends, Assemblyman Skartados did not live long enough to see them achieved.

Before joining the Assemblyman I was an associate editor at Truthdig with the former Los Angeles Times columnist Robert Scheer, editorial assistant to the journalist and New York Times best-selling author Thomas Frank at Harper’s Magazine and published multimedia work with The Nation.
